Law enforcement officials routinely receive information from a variety of sources in Illinois. They follow up on the tips given and, in some situations, make arrests following their investigations. Recently, a man was arrested in East Chicago on drug charges after police allegedly discovered marijuana in his car.
Law enforcement agencies in Illinois and elsewhere around the nation frequently work together to investigate supposed drug operations. Some of these investigations may span several months or even years. Three men currently face several drug charges following a multi-agency operation in Christian County.
A 44-year-old man is currently in custody following his arrest for suspected DUI. Illinois police in Decatur arrested the man, who is now being charged with aggravated drunk driving. He is currently being held in lieu of $15,000 bond; if he manages to post bail, he will be ordered by the court not to consume any alcohol as a condition of his release pending further court proceedings.
Has this ever happened to you? You’re on your way to work when the flashing cop lights come on behind you. The officer raps at your window and asks if you know why he has pulled you over. Rather than admit you were speeding, you venture a guess, “Do I have a broken taillight?” As the officer chuckles on his way back to write up the inevitable speeding ticket, you ponder the injustice of it all.
