Slow Down and Get Speedie Get Speedie Legal Help and get back on the road!

Exterior of the Office Building of Tom Speedie | Attorney at Law, P.C.

How long is this going to take?

Unfortunately, it is a slow process. While informal hearings are done on a “walk in” basis, formal hearings are usually scheduled two to two and a half months from the time the Secretary of State receives your request. After your hearing, it will probably take eight weeks or so to get an order back. If the order grants you a restricted driving permit, it will take at least another three weeks to get your permit in hand.

Once you get the permit, you have to drive on it for nine months before you can have a hearing to consider reinstating your license. Of course, again, after that hearing you will have to wait for a decision before you can actually get your license back.
