Drug-related charges are typically severe in nature, especially when within close proximity to a school. Felony charges can have a significant impact on a person’s future, altering many areas of life in a negative way. Two men may be facing a similar situation after they were recently arrested and are now facing drug charges following the search of a property in Illinois.

Upon executing a search warrant, police claim to have found various narcotics, including cocaine and marijuana, at a local residence. They also allegedly uncovered two firearms along with other various drug paraphernalia in the process. They proceeded to take three people into custody in relation to the search. According to police, two of them are currently being held while the third has recently been released without charges.

One of the men in custody is facing two charges for the delivery of cannabis, one of which is a felony due to it’s location being close to a school. The other man is facing criminal charges for possession of the firearms. Reportedly, neither of the men are currently being charged in relation to the cocaine that was allegedly uncovered in the process.

When a person is facing drug charges, seeking legal advice to form a strategy for defense is advisable. When seeking to challenge any possible charges, many in Illinois choose to retain the services of an experienced attorney for assistance in navigating the process. A defense attorney can evaluate the current situation and provide advice throughout the process in order to help an accused individual obtain the best overall outcome given the circumstances.
